SELF IMPORTANCE
"I have often wondered what a mutual servanthood would look like in a church.  My personal thought is that deacons are not business managers, but servants; elders are not corporate organizers, but overseers-by-example; pastors are not CEOs, but shepherds."

GRATITUDE
"It is not just the sinning we do that hurts God, it is our apathy.   What has happened to our hearts?   Every day of our lives it is God who rewards our labors.  We earn nothing, build nothing, and hold nothing, unless God rewards us and favors us and protects us.   How easily we say, ”Thank you.” without genuine gratitude! "

GOD STILL SPEAKS
"Where are you?"  Allow this true and historical event to apply to you today.  Think about "where" you are in your fellowship with God.  He is calling you, "wherever" you are right now, to draw you nearer to Himself.  Genesis 3:15 predicts satan's defeat and Christ's sufferings.  As soon as Adam failed, God immediately promised a redeemer!  Do not punish yourself by staying aloof, keeping busily distracted, remaining at a "safe" distance from God.    Hear what God is saying to you.  Understand what Christmas is all about.

FIRST LOVE
It is too bad when WE LOVE JESUS IF....
...if He gives us what we want
...if He preserves what we have
...if He protects us and our loved ones
...if He shows us how to go our own way

GOOD AND EVIL
IF EVIL IS AN AGENT FOR GOOD,
(because this good God uses evil to produce good results, or because he brings good finishes out of bad starts) then "evil" ceases to be truely evil! Such thinking erases the opposing natures of good and evil by making one the result of the other.  This fundamental error  makes evil the root of good, and good the fruit of evil!  If such were so, then there would actually be no good or evil!  How can evil serve a good purpose and still be evil?  How can good serve an evil purpose and still be good?  There must yet be a solution that allows God to be good and powerful.
